October 8: Atlanta, GA—Ebenezer Baptist Church, Civil Rights Exhibit, Southern Food

A riveting church service, Haunting civil rights exhibits, delicious southern food. Day 3 of the Civil Rights trip was a total success.

We started the day off in our Sunday best, attending Ebenezer Baptist Church and enjoying a thrilling service during the church's "college weekend" with a insightful sermon from Rev. Raphael Warnock. After church, we headed to the National Center for Civil and Human Rights where we experienced the horror of the sit-ins first hand. After eating a delicious lunch at “The Varsity” restaurant, we decided to head back to the hotel and rest up a little before heading back out once again to eat. We ate another delicious meal of southern food at “Mary Mac’s Tea Room” and—stomach full—came back to the hotel to debrief and get ready for another thrilling day tomorrow.
