Today we started the day a little later than usual. We met downstairs in the lobby at 10:30 a.m. before getting on the bus to go to Morehouse College. Once there, we took a tour around the campus, learning about its history, ties to MLK Jr., and the college's connections to the other HBCUs in the area which included Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, and Morris Brown University. We also learned about the university itself, the student life, and the overall experience at the college. After our visit to Morehouse College, we went to Waffle House. Waffle House is a common chain restaurant in Georgia that serves breakfast food along with burgers and grilled cheese.
To conclude our trip on our final day, we went to the World of Coca-Cola. There we learned about the history of Coca-Cola and got to try Coke products from around the world. Some of the favorites included pineapple Fanta from Greece and ginger ale from Tanzania.
After an incredible trip, now we are on the way back home to Boston! Thank you to the organizers and everyone who made this trip a reality.
