We made it to Greece! After a long but relaxing and uneventful trip across the Adriatic, we arrived in the port town of Patras in the northwest of Greece's Peloponnesus. We then took a brief bus ride south to the delightful fishing village of Katakolon, where we strolled along the boardwalk and enjoyed a delicious lunch to help us re-adjust to life back on land. Afterward, we headed east to the town of Olympias, where all 48 of us took over the Ambrosia Tavern and feasted on an authentic Greek dinner. Following the meal, we enjoyed a pleasant walk up and down Olympias' commercial district. It was a great day all-around and a fantastic introduction to Greece.
