June 12: Arrival to Shanghai, Pearl TV Tower

Writer: The Rivers SchoolThe Rivers School

After 26 hours of travel, the group arrived at Shanghai Airport. It was smooth sailing through Customs and Immigration, and the group was excited to connect with the tour guide and begin their adventure. At their first meal in China, the students were eager to try everything and enjoyed the Chinese cuisine. A typical comment:  “I never thought bok choy could be this tasty!”

The group then visited the Pearl TV Tower in Shanghai, where the observation tower stands at 280 meters above the ground. A few students were brave enough to lie on the glass floor at that height!
