June 13: Yuyuan Garden, Shanghai Museum

The group explored Shanghai today, including a visit to the beautiful Yuyuan Garden and to a unique Buddhist temple. The students were very curious and asked many good questions of the tour guide. The group also visited the Shanghai Museum, which included an entire gallery of Chinese calligraphy. In the evening, the group attended a very impressive acrobatic show that included seven motorcycles driving simultaneously within a spherical metal cage, which left the students gasping in amazement and asking, “How could they do that?”
